Choosing a workshop

There are a number of easy steps to follow in order to short list photography workshops that will interest you.

• Determine your photography ability level
• Decide if you want to learn in a class or in the field
• Consider when and where you want to go on a photography workshop

It's as simple as that! Once you have answered these few questions, use the 'Workshop - Advanced Search' function on the left hand side to find a short list of photography workshops that will meet your needs. If you don't know the answer to any of the questions, then just leave it blank. So, for example, if you don't enter location, then all workshops meeting the other information you have entered will be displayed back to you.

Beginner

These short workshops designed specifically to help complete beginners, novices, or casual photographers to really get going and get on top of the basics. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary to participate in any of these workshops.

Intermediate

These workshops are practical stepping stones to greater fluency with technique and visual creativity and expression. They are educational and enjoyable sessions designed for photographers who want to get to the next level and create powerful and satisfying images more consistently.

Advanced

Experienced and knowledgeable photographers are still often looking to refine their skills and their ability to express themselves fully. Others who may have mastered a chosen genre, such as studio work, would like to explore and refresh their creative skills out in the landscape for example.

Master Class

For photographers who are probably already proficient in their chosen field, but who wish to refine their personal approach with the support of highly experienced tutors. Workshops will be challenging but very rewarding.

Class Based Workshops

Most of our class based workshops are hosted at Epson or Calumet locations under the banner 'The Epson Print Academy'. These offer great classromm facilities and are competitively priced to help you get on the road to improving your photography.

Field Based Workshops

Field based workshops are held at inviting but often little-known locations which have been carefully chosen to suit the topic at hand, places that are accessible yet offer a huge variety of fascinating learning opportunities and challenges. While most of the time is spent out and about in the field, short tutorial and review sessions to convey and clarify key concepts. There is extensive 1-to-1 tuition given and classes sizes never exceed 6 people.

There are workshops in different locations throughout the UK. For the moment, class based workshops are primarily held in Hemel Hempstead, London, Telford and Manchester. Additional locations will be added throught out 2012.

Field based workshops are primarily held in the North of the UK - The Lakes and The Dales - and various locations in Scotland.

We will be adding new locations,for both class and field based workshops, throughout 2012 so keep checking back if the locations we currently have don't suit you.
