Whilst Dartmoor is best known for its peat covered moors and wild ponies, there are many pastures and woodlands to discover. The spring brings an explosion of flowers and vibrant green shoots in the woods and forests. This offers an ideal opportunity to experiment with close up and macro photographs and even infra-red in the beech woods that share this time of year with blue bells. Naturally we will also encounter majestic moor landscapes and maybe even the legendary Dartmoor ponies.
This workshop is limited to 6 people and therefore offers plenty of 1 to 1 tuition with Nick Jenkins both in the field and at the hotel where we will spend some time reviewing images. You will be staying at the 'The Forest Inn' at Hexworthy', superbly situated in the heart of the Moor, offers homely comforts with good home cooked meals.
There will be some walking to see the best of the landscapes though none more than 2 miles. Key landmarks we will visit include The river Dart at Huccaby Bridge, Wistman's Wood, Bellever Forest and Burrator Reservoir and its surrounds.
