Off Camera Flash in the Field

In this intensive & hands-on one day course, Piet will teach you all you need to know to get started with off-camera flash. He will focus not only on the how but the why of off camera flash. He will not just teach you simple lighting setups for you to copy, but will give you the knowledge and the understanding to make your own. The first half of the day is spent covering the necessary theory and more importantly, illustrating why understanding that theory will make you a more versatile flash photographer. Piet will discuss useful gear that will fit any budget. He will illustrate this with setup shots and images he made during his Portraits Of Asia project.

After the lunch break, you will get to put the theory into practice working hands on as Piet will show you the ways of getting your flash to work with your specific camera. The workshop is suitable for Canon and Nikon users. Every attendant will receive comprehensive course handouts.

After having followed the workshop, you will have all the knowledge needed to confidently start using your flashgun as it was meant to: off camera!
