The North Norfolk Coastline extends 45 miles from Hunstanton to Cromer and boasts some of the most beautiful secluded open beaches in England. In fact the only places in the UK that come close to this coastal environment is Northumberland and the Highlands of Scotland. The Norfolk coast is like no other. From the sandstone and limestone striped cliffs at Hunstanton to the earliest signs of human habitation at Happisburgh.
A visit to the North Norfolk coast will present an array of coastal photographic opportunities with quintessentially English seaside towns, beautiful harbour villages, vast open salt marshes, expansive sandy beaches with mature dunes topped with Marram grasses. This area also has shingle beaches, beach huts, windmills and many areas where boats are moored; there is even a beautiful Grade II listed pier at Cromer that was first opened in 1901.
One of the biggest attractions of photographing in an area like the North Norfolk Coast is the open sky. Norfolk is a flat area and the 'Big Wide Norfolk Sky' makes the sense of open space even more apparent. Norfolk offers one of the most varied coastlines in the UK, and if you have never been and you love coastal photography, then this is the workshop for you..
You will be in the hands of our very best leader for the job, Jon Gibbs. John is a native of Norfolk, an expert on this coastline and a professional landscape photographer with his own gallery based in Wells-next-to-the-sea. He is the winner of no less than six landscape photography awards including the esteemed Landscape Photographer of the Year award in 2007. Jon will be on hand to offer expert 1 to 1 tuition and make sure you head home with photographs that show the very best North Norfolk has to offer.
