On this workshop you will be in the hands of Paul Gallagher, the UK's black and white master, who will be on hand to pass on as much of his twenty five years experience as you can handle. Some of the things he will cover on this course will be;
- Visualisation and seeing in monochrome
- Metering for monochrome
The use of filters for film users - Composition and using form, line and textures
- Understanding the power of light and luminosity
- Processing RAW files for digital monochrome
- Understanding the basics of film processing and chemicals
- Traditional dark room printing techniques transferred into Photoshop
- Producing the fine monochrome print
This workshop will be challenging and will take you away from the colour world and require you to think see and work in a series of greys sending you home with a different approach to working.
This workshop is limited to 4 people to reflect the intense and challenging nature of it and permit extensive one to one tuition and coaching.
