Some questions that will help to understand aspect2i.

The world is gradually opening up again and we have to approach our workshops slightly differently with Covid 19 in mind to ensure your safety and so that you can rest assured that we are doing all we can to ensure your safety during your time with us. We are regularly monitoring the government guidelines on Covid 19 and we are reviewing our activities to remain compliant with these and have conducted and completed a full risk assessment for our workshop activities and as such we have implemented new practices and procedures to ensure the safety of you our clients and our leaders.

Obtaining Covid 19 Travel Insurance

It is essential and an integral part of our terms and conditions that you have in place adequate travel insurance to cover the eventuality that you may not be able to join a workshop or complete a worksop. Specifically for Covid 19, there are now many insurance providers that will offer cover to book and travel with confidence should your trip be impacted by Covid 19, Companies such as Rock Insurance and Staysure offer such products. We remind you that this travel insurance is equally necessary for travel  in both the UK and abroad.

 

Following Government Guidance

We do bring your attention to the need to comply with necessary governmental guidance and requirements both in the UK and abroad.  When traveling on an international workshop you will need to ensure that you can meet any vaccination requirements or testing before, during and after your trip along with any self isolation requirements.

 

Book With Confidence

If we are unable to run a workshop due to travel restrictions imposed by either the UK government or foreign governments, we will offer you a full refund, transfer your booking the same workshop at a later scheduled date or transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice.

 

 

You can pay by credit or debit card or bank transfer. Please ensure that the booking reference is included as a reference on all payments.

Payment by credit or debit card

Currently you can call us to take your card details and make an immediate payment from your card. Alternatively, you can forward your booking confirmation email to us and request that a credit or debit card payment is made. Worldpay (our card processing company) will send you an email giving instructions how to pay by simply linking to their website.

Payment (either in full or the required deposit) must be received within 5 working days of making the booking in order to secure it. Unfortunately, if payment is not received during this time, then we may need to release the booking.

 

One day workshops and photography classes

The full cost of the class or workshop will be payable at the time of booking.

Field Workshops

If there is less than 8 weeks until the start of your workshop we ask for full payment at the time of booking. Otherwise a deposit as indicated on the workshop details page will be payable at the time of booking and the balance 8 weeks before the start of the workshop.

Our terms and conditions require you to arrange travel insurance (equally applicable in the UK as internationally) that covers against the usual risks such as delays, lost baggage, by airlines, accident, illness, etc. The price of the workshop does not include insurance.  We would like to remind you of the need for comprehensive travel insurance which will cover all eventualities with respect to Covid.  If you need further guidance on this please get in contact.

In all cases you should send an email informing us of your need to cancel. Whether or not you can re-book or receive a refund will be as follows:

Photography Classes and the Epson Print Academy

If we receive your cancellation within 14 days of the class, you can re-book another date or get a full refund.
 

Photography Workshops
For one and two day workshops, any cancellation received no later than 28 days prior to the start of the workshop will be fully refunded.


For all UK and International workshops and tours, if you cancel more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your workshop we will give a full refund without any charges.

However, if this occurs within 8 weeks of the start of your workshop there may be cancellation charges applicable.  These are determined based upon the actual charges that we incur - for example hotel costs, travel, etc. and our ability to replace your booking with another (not applicable when the workshop is not full).

As you can appreciate we need to a achieve a minimum number of bookings before we can confirm this workshop will be running. As such you should not book any flights or additional hotel nights until you receive such confirmation. Bookings will close at the latest 8 weeks before a workshop runs and at that time we will be able to communicate to you confirmation of the workshop, advice on flights that you should book for both the outward and return journeys.

Additional nights that you might want to spend prior to or after the workshop will have to be booked and paid for by yourselves. We will be able to let you know the hotels we will be staying at the beginning and end of the workshop.

If you require a visa for the country of the workshop you will be responsible for getting this. We can provide information to support this (such as itinerary, hotels stayed at, etc). We recommend using a visa service such as that offered by Trailfinders. They will be able to check your application and associated documentation to ensure it is complete and correct and also submit your application and obtain the visa.

The Epson Print Academy in association with aspect2i brings you the opportunity to learn from some top level photographers and highly expert Epson staff. Covering the photographic process from capture to print, the Epson Print Academy will bring you the skills to make the most of your Epson printers, media and inks.
The main purpose of both our class and field based workshops is to improve your photography. We spend a lot of time with you individually and as a group learning about photography and how to improve it. We are confident that after every aspect2i workshop you will have acquired new skills, have more confidence and moreover be more satisfied with the images that you produce.
Classroom-based workshops usually start at 10.30 (registration from 10.00) and finish between 16.00 and 17.00 depending on the size of the class and number of questions. We start with introductions and an explanation of what will be covered in the workshop.

Times of field workshops vary depending on locations and likely travel arrangements. Typically a field workshop will commence at 10.00 on the first day and finish around 16.00 on the last day.  During the rest of the time whilst there is the light we are available to shoot. 

Full details will be provided as part of the joining instructions sent out prior to the rolex replica workshop.

We pride ourselves on offering full days for our workshops. That means for field-based workshops we often arrange for everyone to meet the evening prior to the workshop commencing in earnest.   Equally, on the last day of the workshop we will continue until  4 pm in order to get as much time out in the field as possible to take photographs.
Generally our workshops are suited to all levels.  If you are a real beginner then please call us for some further advice.

If you are at all unsure of what level you are or whether a particular workshop is suited to you, please do not hesitate to call or email us.  We would be very happy to help you select the right workshop.

 

Field based workshops in the UK are smaller and are usually limited to 6 people per leader.  International workshops are also limited to 6 people per leader.  If there are two leaders on a workshop the maximum number of people on the workshop will be 8. In all cases, you will receive extensive one to one tuition and we are convinced that you will come away having improved your photography.

Masterclasses are strictly limited to 4 people as by definition these are more intensive learning expereinces.


For class based workshops this can be up to 10 for a 1 day workshop.  We've found that this works very well. More is OK for certain workshop topics, but most require a significant degree of interaction and practical attention. Interestingly we've found that having very low group numbers can be less effective as participants always bring their own varied experiences and interests to sessions like this. It's valuable to get that group input and involvement which can otherwise be missing with lower numbers.

 

Every class based workshop is supported by detailed information and material for you to take away and refer to after the event.
It depends on the topic. Generally we believe that great photography is more about the image than about the equipment, although of course being familiar and confident with your equipment gives more scope and satisfaction. So we do have workshops specifically designed to teach specific aspects of photography. There are also some more advanced specialist workshops, and for these the equipment requirements are mentioned in the workshop description page.
