Mark Lawrence

Mark has been an avid photographer since his early teens and has a particular love of landscapes, especially coasts and woodlands. Brought up on black and white film photography, Mark is the author of several books and has had work published in a number of magazines and journals over the years. Embracing digital technology has helped take his photography in new directions and enables him to teach both traditional landscape photography and alternative approaches, including infra-red intentional camera movement (ICM) and in-camera multiple exposure.

Whilst Scotland will always be his first love photographically, Mark has travelled extensively to all corners of the UK in pursuit of his photography. He also has international experience and loves sharing his knowledge of locations, techniques and post-processing with others. With over 40 years of photography experience, Mark has lots to share and, having left his career in Logistics behind him, landscape photography is his main occupation, alongside founding a charity centred on wellbeing through photography.
