With­out doubt there are many tour and work­shop providers out there offer­ing trips to beau­ti­ful parts of the UK and around the world, so why choose aspect2i?

We have been run­ning pho­tog­ra­phy tours and work­shops for over a decade now and we are proud of our track record of hap­py clients that come back year after year. The rea­son for this is that we are there for the pho­tog­ra­phers who trav­el with us. All too often we hear accounts of pho­tog­ra­phers that trav­el with a work­shop group only to find that their leader is more inter­est­ed in what they want from the trip than what his/​her group may want to learn or experience.

We have a pas­sion and excel at pass­ing on knowl­edge. It sounds sim­ple but many pho­tog­ra­phers want to return home from a work­shop hav­ing learned new skills, become bet­ter pho­tog­ra­phers and have the pho­tographs to show for it. Our lead­ers do not stand over you every minute of the day, but they are always there, on hand to help and pass on their years of expe­ri­ence and exper­tise in land­scape photography.

Because there are so many dif­fer­ent aspects of land­scape pho­tog­ra­phy, and peo­ple like to learn in dif­fer­ing ways, we have always con­sid­ered this. Our Tours take you to expe­ri­ence and be awestruck in some of the best, most dra­mat­ic land­scapes in the world and the UK were being in the right place at the right time is our main aim. Our Retreats are very dif­fer­ent indeed. If you come along on a Retreat you will be in lux­u­ry accom­mo­da­tion with like mind­ed pho­tog­ra­phers, in small groups were the con­ver­sa­tions and shar­ing of pho­to­graph­ic ideas and projects is as impor­tant as being out with your cam­era dur­ing your time away.

Our Advanced Work­shops focus on shar­ing the most in depth, up to date tech­ni­cal aspects of pho­tog­ra­phy. As tech­nique and tech­nol­o­gy con­sis­tent­ly make advances, we too move with the times which puts us at the fore­front of mod­ern dig­i­tal pho­tog­ra­phy. Our online cours­es are anoth­er exam­ple of tai­lor­ing to pho­tog­ra­phers needs. Some­times with a busy life full of com­mit­ments, it can be dif­fi­cult to get to time away and this is why we have designed a selec­tion of online cours­es aimed at cer­tain skills and creativity. 

We feel that a tour or work­shop is some­thing you have looked for­ward to and worked hard for so we want you to be a com­fort­able as pos­si­ble. We do not hire bunkhous­es or hous­es with shared facil­i­ties as we believe that after an excit­ing day out in the field, you want your own space and com­fort so care­ful­ly cho­sen hotels is all part of your expe­ri­ence when trav­el­ing with us.

Last­ly, we like to have fun and for all the group to enjoy their time with us. Our tours and work­shops are not endurance tests, they are expe­ri­ences with you and your cam­era that we want you to remem­ber for many years to come.

It is all too easy to make many trips out over the years to beau­ti­ful places in the world and return with hun­dreds of cam­era files that are hard­ly ever get looked at, or some that are processed, but nev­er real­ly look like the moment you were stood there with your cam­era. There are always skills to be learned out in the field, but there are often a lot more to be learned when you are sit­ting in front of your computer. 

Our aim has always been, and always will be, about putting you first and nur­tur­ing your love and pas­sion for pho­tog­ra­phy, help to make you bet­ter at what you love. Aspect2i is the go-to place to gain knowl­edge whether that is from one of our field work­shops, enrolling on one of our in-depth online cours­es or even to have a tai­lor made indi­vid­ual tuition pro­gram designed just for you. Pho­tog­ra­phy and books go hand in hand and we are sched­ul­ing the release of a series of books to inspire and learn from and we will be shar­ing our thoughts and expe­ri­ences through our jour­nal periodically.
