It is quite easy to assume you have explored a par­tic­u­lar genre of pho­tog­ra­phy but oppor­tu­ni­ties arise that we some­time do not expect. Mov­ing away from harsh sun­light and high con­trast images and push­ing your­self in new direc­tions, Paul Gal­lagher and Michael Pilk­ing­ton began to dis­cov­er a whole new approach to infrared pho­tog­ra­phy that opened their eye to new ways of seeing.

In Anoth­er Light is a con­ver­sa­tion about expe­ri­ences in break­ing new ground in the approach to infrared land­scape pho­tog­ra­phy, along with a cel­e­bra­tion of how sub­tle it can be. Far from the typ­i­cal infrared seen in pro­fu­sion, this is infrared that accom­pa­nies tra­di­tion­al black and white but whis­pers a dif­fer­ent message.
